Apple Pie Pizza Cake

Turn your next pizza creation into this fabulous layered apple dessert. A pizza cake with apples, spice and more.


1 cup water (lukewarm)

1 egg (large)

2 tbsp butter (soft, for dough)

1 Apple Pie FIlling, can

4 tbsp melted

1 Slice of Heaven Apple Pie 'Za (1 box mix)


1Empty the contents of the largest bag (white mixture) into your bread maker bowl fitted with the paddle. Pour the lukewarm water over the top. Use dough setting and start the machine.

2Once dough is made, preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly spray large cookie sheet with cooking spray, or drizzle with olive oil.

3Divide dough in half.

4Press one of your dough halves into a thin layer on cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes; cool.

5Meanwhile, measure diameter of tall-sided ovenproof pan. (6" diameter pan is a good size). Cut out three circles from partially baked crust that are diameter of pan. Set aside.

6Using your second portion of pizza dough press out onto lightly greased surface. Cut a long strip of pizza dough, at least 1/2 inch wider than height of pan (in this case, 4 1/2 inches tall). Place strip of dough on piece of cooking parchment paper; cover lightly with damp towel, and set aside.

7Press remaining strip of dough onto another lightly sprayed cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes. Cut out two circles from partially baked crust that are diameter of pan.

8Line a tall sided circular pan with cooking parchment paper, so ends of paper stick up and out of pan.

9Carefully drape long strip of pizza dough around inside edge of pan to line it, leaving 1/2 inch hanging over outside edge, and bottom open. Pinch seams closed.

10Place one of the partially baked pizza dough circles in bottom of pan to fill bottom.

11In medium bowl, pour contents of medium unlabeled bag along with 4 tablespoons melted butter. Spread one-third of the mixture on bottom layer of pizza cake; top with another pizza dough circle.

12Spread half of 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling in even layer; top with another pizza dough circle. Repeat layering, so you finish with oat mixture on top.

13Fold overhanging dough up and over edge of pizza cake to create raised crust.

14Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dough around pizza is fully cooked. To test, carefully pull up on parchment paper to raise pizza out of pan. Once fully cooked, cool 20 to 30 minutes in the pan before removing.

15Use medium unlabeled bag (white icing bag) and add in 2 tablespoons butter, 1 tablespoon water. Drizzle icing over cake before serving.

16Use sharp knife to cut slices like you would a cake.


1**If you do not own a breadmaker - add dry contents of 'Za mix to a bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes on a lightly floured board. Turn dough out onto a lightly greased bowl. Cover and add to a draft free location. Once dough has rose, following directions above starting with preheating your oven (step 2)

This Apple Pie Pizza Cake has generous layers of apple pie filling and a brown sugar oat crumble all wrapped up in a layer of pizza dough and drizzled with a delicious icing. A decadent and presentation worthy dessert.
